Martha McCluskey

Martha is a professor at the University of Buffalo School of Law and co-editor of “Feminism, Media, and the Law” (Oxford University Press, 1997).

Martha has co-founded two groups on the cutting edge of legal research. The Association for the Promotion of Political Economy and the Law (APPEAL), is an organization bringing together academics, policy professionals, and activists to “develop a law and economics capable of responding to the urgent challenges of our time… to better advance shared prosperity, democracy, sustainability, and justice.” The other, ClassCrits, brings together academics across a range of disciplines to develop a critical legal analysis of economic inequality through workshops, conferences panels, scholarly publications, and online writing.

Her legal research focus examines the relationship between economics, inequality in law, and feminist legal theory.
